Wipro 3D’s Additive Design and Engineering services are based on a deep understanding of various aspects of the technology such as the energy source and its behaviour, the feedstock and its characterization, the environment in which the interaction between the energy source and feedstock happens, metallurgy, thermal considerations, structures, heat treatment, machining and surface finishing technologies.

We have developed practices that offer a close cluster of results, when it comes to mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy and required feature fidelity, when pre-build, in-build and post-build process and parameters are effectively synchronized.

Wipro 3D brings to bear the entire experience and range of services to realize the component with a view of running production using metal AM.
These are long drawn projects with intense involvement from Wipro 3D experts as well as customer’s specialists. In many cases, final surface management or feature finalization is done by third-party vendors, to deliver a finished project to customers.
While Wipro 3D customizes these parameters to deliver custom properties and detail in different geometries, we are often presented with applications that require metal alloys that are quite different from these “standard” alloys. Wipro 3D carries the capability to offer process package development for new metal alloys to Metal Additive Manufacturing process. This would involve powder characterization, deposition prove-out, in build parameter development and post build parameter development to deliver a functionally proven component.

WE OFFER TWO APPROACHES TO THIS REQUIREMENT :
- A gradual ramp up right from Consulting, Additive Design upto Prototyping and Manufacturing services, finally culminating in deployment of a captive AM centre.
- Alternatively, right from the get-go, we design, Program manage, deploy and operate the captive AM centre with the eventual aim of handing over operations to the customer.
Wipro 3D has developed it’s own state-of-the-art solution centre, based on its learnings over the last 5 years and includes the entire set of learnings in this offering.
We also offer to operate as part of our utilization services, any existing infrastructure related to metal AM with a view to improving return on investments as well as building internal capabilities.
The objective of Wipro 3D’s turnkey services, is to assist its customers in defining and systematically implementing an internally focussed Metal Additive Manufacturing Roadmap aimed at realizing the benefits of Additive Manufacturing in relevant operations.
